The Kleiner Lab was recently awarded the MIRA (Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award) grant from the NIH’s National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS). The five-year research project in the Kleiner Lab funded by the NIH will examine the interactions between gut-inhabiting microbes and the dietary proteins these microbes eat, and ultimately how these interactions impact host health.
